Our History
Providing solutions to your logistics requirements since 1965
Lockwood Haulage was established back to 1965 by father and son Frank and Doug Lockwood when the associated frozen food business Lockwood Ltd purchased a number of vehicles to deliver its frozen mushy peas. As refrigerated vehicles were a relatively new idea at the time and the peas required chilled deliveries this meant that deliveries were only made during the cold winter months. This left the delivery vehicles idle during the rest of the year so they were soon put to use delivering a range of different products for a completely new set of customers.
